Today I’m jumping in with plyocide. Based on past memories, I know that when I’m getting into the swing of things it’s best to treat plyocide with some respect.
Exactly what I did today. I got into the motions and kept my pace as best I could. I didn’t over exert myself. Though I did find a couple of spots where I did need to pause the video and catch my breath.
I woke up a bit tired. Nothing new, however I pushed on with the workout. I got through it without issue. I did find out that Plyocide can mean Plyopuke. Which is what happened about 30 minutes after the workout.
I was rocking it all the way through. Keepin up. No pauses. Even added an extra rep here and there. Felt strong despite how much I was sweating. Great workout.
It wasn’t until after I had showered and got dressed to eat breakfast that I suddenly felt uneasy. Like intuition or something. I made my way to praying to the porcelain god. Ick. Once I did that I felt right as rain again.
That means I made a great breakfast and had a shakeology. Booyah. From there it was a mellow day of music writing and mixing. So remember that plyocide can mean Plyopuke. It’s still a great workout regardless.
Rolling into day two of my phase two redux. Today Plyocide comes back. I don’t remember it being this hard at the end of the last time I did phase two a little over a month ago.
I had to pause a few times between sets in order to catch my breath. I was lacking some energy by the time I got 2/3 through the workout. I stuck with it and pushed through.
The best thing is, I didn’t hurl. I also didn’t bonk, though there were moments when I thought I would.
It’s a hell of a workout and despite my shirt making reference to insanity (actually it’s referencing my CD), I’m not sure I could, or would even want to, do the Insanity workout. Instead I’ll stick with things using weight and my extra outdoor activities. Seems more appropriate for me.
Time to whip up some Shakeology, eat a killer breakfast and get on with my musical day. Make sure you’re working out. If not with beachbody at least doing something. I would hope seeing plyocide comes back for as a reason for yourself to get into better shape.
Closing in on week four of phase three. Midway through the week and it’s another workout by beachbody. One question I’m asked is: Does PAP Lower work? The simple answer: Yes.
Lots of people have heard of P90X. Not as many are familiar with P90X2, so when I get asked, what’s the difference? My first instinct is to mention the focus around the core. Some of the workouts are harder than P90X. Some are not. The one thing I know is that I’m using less weight and a lot more balance.
In a way, I’d likely PAP Lower to be similar to Plyo style. Though I find Plyocide to be much harder. Where PAP Lower excels is in core. The exercises and moves are much more core oriented.
I also find that I sweat way more during PAP workouts than I do Plyo workouts. Not sure why considering my earlier statement.
One thing others have noticed is that I appear taller. I’ve been called freakishly strong. I’ve had comments about my core and how stable I appear. All things that have not been said until after doing the beachbody workouts. Reality is – this stuff works! It’s not overnight success. It’s a lifestyle change that takes time. But some of those changes appear within weeks of starting.
While I’m now starting to add extra reps into PAP Lower in order to keep pushing myself, I can say that the answer to Does PAP Lower work, is yes. With that, I’m off to have a full on breakfast with a shakeology. <– get you some of that, it’s great stuff. Keep up with the workouts and share your results with me.
There is one thing I like about this particular workout, that it doesn’t require writing anything down. Even better that today was a first in this journey where I didn’t pause the video. Look in the sky, it’s a hop skip double jump it’s plyocide.
I powered through it today.
Energy to spare. A few moments of hard breathing in-between moves but never stopped the video. Kept up. Rocked it. The End.
I don’t have much more to say other than I finished and still felt good. That’s a huge sign for me. I’d take that as a personal best.
A spark of difference this morning. When I woke up, I wasn’t nearly as tired. This has me thinking if there was something specific in my diet or world that has changed ever so slightly. I’m curious if the effect of a large fire spewing a ton of CO2 or ash into the air would have an effect on my sleep. Especially if I’m downwind of it. Hmmmm… This morning was my Plyocide.
While I wasn’t feeling 100% awake, I got into the workout and felt much better about it than I have in the past couple of weeks. If it’s not the fire issue, it might be a change in the diet. I haven’t changed much of my diet recently so it’s hard to say. Could very well be a heat factor too. It’s been warm, but not overtly hot like it was the past two weeks.
Either way, the workout of Plyocide today went extremely well. I wasn’t pushing myself to max anything out, but I kept up very well. That’s a bonus in my book.
Normally this would be my last week of phase two. However, since I took a half week with it last week and because I seem to notice the most change in my abdominal area during phase two, I believe I will do an additional week of it. I may do two more weeks of it – if only to hit my goal of a perfect flat 6 pack belly. So close. So. Close.
Time for a kickin’ breakfast sided with a Shakeology. I’ve got a hunger thanks to my Plyocide workout today. Follow it up with some music making. In the meantime, I’m going to throw down a challenge to you. Want to feel better than you ever have before? Want to get in great shape? Eat healthier? Then join my fitness challenge! Do it now and get ready for your hot new self.
Today will be a rather short post. The title essentially says it all. My plyocide has plyodied. I had a tough one today.
My brain is wondering if my body is telling me – dude, I need a week off to recover. I’ll have to see how I’m feeling after the next workout in a couple of days. Mostly because tomorrow is a recovery day.
The gut feeling is my sleep pattern is off and that is what is truly affecting the workouts. I’ll know in a couple of days I suppose. Till then: Keep Pushin!
Late morning start. But then again, I’m a musician – what do you expect? Here’s the funny. My coach and my upline coach are also musicians. Today my workout was my upline coach’s workout in P90X2. Jason Scheff. That’s the Shoulders Arms and Abs Happy When I’m With You workout. I added the title after it because of two reasons.
Reason one. Jason actually says this to Tony in the video. Reason two. It’s the title of a song I wrote a couple of summers ago and is in a movie.
Despite the not so great Plyocide workout a couple of days ago, I’m back on a roll with the program. I increased weight over my first journey stats. That’s a big deal. Shows me I’m getting stronger still. Love it!
Add to that, the fact that I have a proper sized stability ball too, makes some of the moves hard. Better still, I’m getting more out of them. Bonus.
I’m feeling awesome. Especially since I got through the workout with flying colors and smashing the abs too. Plus in case you missed it, the title I gave earlier is a song that can be purchased. I’m saying Shoulders Arms and Abs Happy When I’m With You. That’s right, I’m up. Join me for a fitness challenge!
Oh my. I definitely pushed it hard yesterday. This morning, after being up until 4:30 a.m. I woke up feeling some spots on my body that I don’t recall ever feeling before. Yet I was going to push on any way. That led me to a Plyocide mess.
What do I mean about that? Well…
Essentially I started the workout in an exhausted state. Not enough sleep. Plyocide is definitely not a workout you can do in a tired state. At least not effectively. I started up and got through the first portion. At the end of the first part I felt like pushing it any further would have been a dangerous thing to do.
What did I do?
I stopped. Heart pounding. Sweat dripping. Exhausted. Yikes.
We all have days where things aren’t as effective. Today was such a day for me. Tomorrow will be great to get on the foam roller!
Earlier this past year I played some golf with a buddy at an executive style course. During the round a 3rd person we were on the course with pulled out a gag ball. That gag ball was a schwetty ball from SNL (Saturday Night Live). Apparently there was a skit years ago involving schwetty balls. Not sure what made me think of that other than today was a schwetty schwetty plyocide.
It’s getting warm outside. Thus working out is a little more intense. More sweat is coming out. Due to the increase of warm in the weather I had to take a few extra pauses during the workout. Pushing it as hard as I’m pushing it now is a little more intense in heat. Thus not wanting to pass out or puke, I take the road of a few extra moments between the more hard core moves.
This 3rd week is going pretty smoothly. I’m keeping up. I’m pushing hard. I’m making progress. I’m feeling it, but it’s no longer killing me. Bonus.
Time for a little Shakeology to quench my depleted nutrition needs, a hearty breakfast and get on with the musical day. Are you in need of dropping a few pounds? Getting into better shape? How about joining a fitness challenge and putting yourself to a schwetty schwetty plyocide test? Join me!
