Gimme Da Green Smoothie

The Gimme Da Green Smoothie is a superb way to top off a breakfast meal. Not to mention it also is a great way to supercharge your body with awesome nutrients. The real kick here is the “non” green ingredients that help provide the sweet goodness for drinking.

Ingredients*:

  1. 4 to 6 spinach leaves
  2. 1/4 cup blueberries
  3. 1/4 cup cranberries
  4. 1/2 cup water
  5. 1 tbsp honey
  6. 1 tbsp wheat germ
  7. 1 tbsp oat bran
  8. 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  9. 1 scoop of whey protein powder (optional if not using Shakeology)
  10. 1 scoop of Shakeology (recommended)

Preparation:

Put all the ingredients into the blender. Let blend for several minutes until smooth. Add several ice cubes and blend for a slightly cooler and thicker smoothie.

This will yield two glasses of tasty smoothie. It’s so good you won’t want to share, but be nice.

Prep time: 1-2 minutes. Total time: 3-5 minutes.

* Organic ingredients are desirable. This will often mean being seasonal with the ingredients. Fresh is best. Local honey is ideal.
